Quantum of the Seas

The ship's family traditional outdoor pool is flanked by two whirlpools, and is ideal for sun lounging, cooling down and relaxing whilst watching movies, sporting events and concerts on the outdoor movie screen perched above the pool.

Quantum of the Seas offer an indoor pool for use by all. It is protected by a retractable glass roof, ideal for use during inclement weather and includes two whirlpools.

An outdoor full-size regulation basketball court which will also be used for sports such as football, volleyball and badminton, is located outside SeaPlex on deck 15.

SeaPlex on deck 15 is Quantum of the Seas' new indoor sporting and entertainment arena.

The flexible venue will provide sports and entertainment for guests to partake in delivering a plethora of activities including dodgems (bumper cars), a circus school (including a trapeze, Lyra hoops and juggling) and roller skating. Located on deck 15, along with an outdoor full-size regulation basketball court which will also be used for sports such as football, volleyball and badminton, by night guests can ride the dodgems or rollerblade around the arena which will come alive with a mix of special lighting effects and music provided from the floating DJ booth hovering above the activity below.

To ensure that guests remember they are at sea, the SeaPlex venue will be designed with large windows allowing plenty of natural light to flood the area whilst protecting guests from the elements. On the mezzanine level above the main floor will be the first ever food truck at sea serving snacks, along with four custom themed Activity Rooms offering spectacular sea views with non-stop action ranging from table tennis and air hockey to foosball and other interactive games.

The ship's outdoor rock climbing wall is located adjacent to the Sports Court on deck 15.

All of the equipment, including shoes, helmets and harnesses are provided with guests just needing to ensure they have a pair of socks with them.

Guests must be 6 years of age and 6-12 years olds must have adult supervision at all times.

Sitting high up at the aft of deck 15 overlooking Ripcord, FlowRider® is the ship's surf simulator where guests can try out boogie boarding or surfing. The FlowRider sends a thin sheet of water up a sloped cushioned platform to create a wave-like flow of water which makes it ideal for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. After receiving safety instructions and a few tips for a successful ride from the instructors guests can try out their surfing skills.

Sessions on FlowRider are complimentary whilst Private lessons for a fee are available. Guests must be 6 years of age or older to ride and must be taller than 52” to bodyboard or 58” to flowboard in height. Under 18’s must be supervised at all times.

At night, guests can enjoy the thrill of the dodgems (bumper cars) in the SeaPlex arena on deck 15.

For guests who enjoy rollerblading, they can visit the SeaPlex Arena on deck 15 to enjoy skating around the arena whilst enjoying the special lighting effects and music from the “floating” DJ booth.

RipCord by iFly is the ship's skydiving experience allowing both first-time flyers and experienced ones the thrill of skydiving at sea inside a 23-foot tall glass chamber with views out over the ocean. It is located on the outdoor Sports Court at the stern of the ship and overlooking FlowRider on deck 16.

Surrounded by a viewing platform where family and friends can watch from, before taking part guests must register to participate in a training course where they will view a video and be taught the correct flight position and hand signals. Guests will then receive jumpsuits, goggles and helmets to wear before entering the chamber.

Flights last for one minute with guests first taking part in a one minute practise flight followed by a one minute free-style flight. Commemorative photos and a video of the experience will also be available.

The ship's outdoor jogging track is located on deck 15 of the ship.

Self-levelling billiards tables are available within the Music Hall on the upper level (deck 5) of the ship.

On the mezzanine level of SeaPlex (deck 15) are four themed activity rooms filled with non-stop action ranging from table tennis and air hockey to foosball and other interactive games.
