Introduction

Royal Caribbean (RCI) was established in Norway in 1969, but is now a large Corporation with a distinctly American feel.

Generally, you will find new and innovative features such as rock climbing walls, ice rinks and flowriders (surfing).

The addition of new innovations and sports facilities is however at the expense of the traditional cruising experience. Expect plenty of razzmatazz, parades, shopping and energetic pursuits. Don't expect a peaceful relaxing holiday - Royal Caribbean is a line for the active.

Passengers must be aged 21 or over (18 for cruises staring in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South America or Asia) to drink or purchase alcohol onboard.

2 bottles of wine or champagne per stateroom may be brought onboard at embarkation only. If personal wine is consumed outside the stateroom a $25 corkage charge will apply. Excess alcohol, or other forms of alcohol brought to embarkation will be disposed of.

Alcohol bought onboard or brought to the ship at ports of call will be stored until the end of the cruise.
