Introduction

P&O (Pacific and Oriental Steam Navigation Company) is owned by the Carnival Corporation, but operates as a distinctly British cruise line.

Expect your fellow passengers to be mainly British enjoying a traditional (but not stuffy) atmosphere.

Cruise styles onboard P&O ships vary depending upon the ship (big or small, family friendly or adult only) and the season (winter attracts older passengers). In all cases it tends to be a fun and friendly atmosphere whilst still maintaining a refined feel (dress codes are well enforced).

A soft drinks package is available on most ships.

Alcohol may be bought and consumed by passengers aged 18 or over. Passengers aged 16-17 may drink beer, cider or wine with a restaurant meal when in the company of adults.

Alcohol purchased onboard will be stored until the end of the cruise. Passengers may be allowed to bring alcohol onboard the ship, however this is at the crew's discretion and the crew may choose to store the alcohol until the end of the cruise.
