About Wilmington
Wilmington is the largest city in the state of Delaware in the United States of America.
The Wilmington State Parks comprise of Brandywine Park, Alapocas Woods Natural Area, H. Fletcher Brown Park and Rockford Park. Each park offers hiking paths and trails for nature lovers.
The Brandywine Zoo (open May-Nov) and Baynard Stadium, are located in Brandywine Park.

The Wilmington and Western Railroad is a freight and heritage railroad operating between Wilmington and Hockessin. The 16.4km railroad operates both steam and diesel locomotives and it has been added to the National Register of Historic Places as a national historic district.
Holy Trinity Church, also known as Old Swedes, was built in 1698–99 from local blue granite and Swedish bricks and was situated on the site of the Fort Christina's burial ground, which dates to 1638.
The Wilmington Riverwalk is a scenic boardwalk along the riverbank in downtown Wilmington. At the eastern end of the walk lies the Russell W. Peterson Wildlife Refuge, one of the few urban refuges in the country. Common sightings include beavers, ducks, ospreys, turtles and snakes. There is a high powered telescope inside the Environmental Education Center to help you with your spotting.
Museums include the Delaware Art and Delaware History Museums as well as Hagley Museum, the original site of the Du Pont mills, founded in 1802.
The DuPont Theater, The Grand Opera House, Delaware's tall ship, the Kalmar Nyckel and Battlefield Memorial, which signifies the maritime history of Wilmington are also places of interest.
Golfers can head to Rock Manor Golf Club, an 18 hole Championship designed course, located just off Interstate 95 at Route 202.
In 2013, Bethany Beach was named one of the top 10 Best Beaches for Families by Family Vacation Critic, whilst Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches are both recognised as two of the nations cleanest beaches by the Natural Resources Defence Council.
Shopping, dining and entertainment are all tax-free in Delaware. Christiana Mall, located off of I-95, is Delaware’s largest and most upscale mall. Independence Mall near Oleander, features homemade goodies and fashionable locally designed clothes, whilst souvenir items and traditional gifts such as sculptured woodcarvings and porcelain figurines can be found in Mayfaire Towne Center, with over 65 shops to choose from.
