Overview Of The Port Of Lome

About Lome
Lomé is the capital and largest city of Togo, West Africa. It is located on the Gulf of Guinea.

Lomé's biggest attractions are its markets, especially the Grand Market which sells everything from food and bags to clothing and traditional medicinal remedies, and the Fetish (Voodoo) Market.

Museums include the Musee International du Golfe de Guinee and the National Museum, which is housed in the The Palais du Congrès complex and features jewellery, pottery, weapons and many other objects showing the arts and traditions.

Shop at a more leisurely pace than the markets at the Village Artisanal and pick up some local souvenirs, tie dye batik, artwork and leather goods.

Dining ranges from local street food (rice, pasta and beef, chicken) and a choice of many Lebanese restaurants, to Chinese, French and German options.
Cruise Terminal
Cruise ships dock at the Port of Lomé. Shuttle buses may be provided by your cruiseline. Visitors can also walk into town from the cruise terminal.

Taxis are fairly easy to find around the city.
