Visit the famous painter, Paul Gauguin’s residence. The island was made famous by Gauguin, and his resting place is located at the side of Calvary Cemetery overlooking the Bay.
The Gauguin Museum, located in the village, houses items owned by the famous painter as well as copies of his works. Visitors can also arrange for a visit to where Gauguin’s descendants live in Puamau Village.
