Huahine (pronounced who-a-hee-nay by Tahitians), is an island located in French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. Huahine is made up of two main islands - Huahine Nui (Big Huahine) to the north and Huahine Iti (Little Huahine) to the south, separated by a few hundred yards of water. A small bridge connects Huahine Nui and Huahine Iti.
