About St Maarten
St Maarten/St Martin is located in the north eastern part of the Caribbean. The island is divided, the north is French, the capital city being Marigot, the south Dutch - Philipsburg is it's capital.
The Dutch part has large resorts, casinos and fast food eateries, the quieter French side is prettier and more sophisticated with Parisian style cafes and shops.
There is an abundance of beaches chose from all around the island, some parts are nudist/clothing optional.

Cruise Terminal
The main Cruise Terminal is located in Philipsburg, the dock is around 1 mile away from the centre. The terminal has shops and taxis are available. Occasionally, ships may anchor off shore and tender passengers right into the centre of town.
Some smaller cruise ships can anchor outside Marigot and tender passengers to the harbour.
