Princess Cays

Princess Cays is a remote peninsula, about 30 miles from Nassau in The Bahamas. Part of the land is reserved exclusively for Princess Cruise Line passengers.

Activities include swimming, rent scuba or snorkel gear, ride on a banana boat, or take an aqua bike for a spin. Catamarans, paddleboats, water floats, sailboats and kayaks are also on offer.

Additionally there is a volleyball court and a picnic area along with Pelican's Perch, a supervised sand playground for kids.

Private cabanas and bungalows are available for rent.

Shore excursions include boat trips, deep sea fishing adventures, glass bottom boat rides and scenic tours of Eleuthera.

Princess Cays offers three bars throughout its section of the island.

Princess Tropical Treasures boutique is located on the island and sells all manner of souvenirs. Local crafts are also for sale along with hair braid styling.

Two complimentary barbecue pavilions offer hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, salad, fruit, cookies and a variety of other refreshments.

Visitors can use their onboard accounts for drinks, shore excursions, water sports equipment rentals and souvenirs from the Tropical Treasures boutique. Cash is required by local vendors.

Unlike other cruise line owned private islands, this one is partially inhabited.

Ships are required to anchor so passengers are tendered ashore.
