Moreton Island

Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world and is located on the eastern side of Moreton Bay, on the south east coast of Queensland, Australia. It is 95% National Park and a popular tourist destination.

Pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear blue waters await the visitor to Moreton Island. Activities on offer include swimming, snorkelling, fishing and sand tobogganing.

Take a 4 wheeled drive tour, eco tour or explore the island on foot, on one of the many trails around.

Cape Moreton Lighthouse has stunning views, spot birds, dolphins, turtles or even whales on their migration (Jul-Nov).
