Marigot

Marigot is the main town and capital on the French side of the Caribbean island of Saint Martin. It is located in the Eastern Caribbean.

Near to the terminal is Le West Indies Shopping Mall and Marina Port La Royale, popular with locals and tourists alike.

Marigot Waterfront Market is a daily event along the harbour which features a craft market, souvenir stalls and, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, a Caribbean food market.

At the Butterfly Farm there are hundreds of species of butterflies and the surrounding area has picturesque waterfalls and forest grottos.

Baie Lounge beach is a lovely, quiet beach, whilst French Cul de Sac beach on the east (Atlantic) coast of St Martin, is perfect for couples and families alike. Ilet Pinel is an uninhabited tiny island and shuttle boats regularly make the 5 minute crossing throughout the day.

Souvenirs include perfume, crystal or original artwork from one of the local artists.

The cruise terminal is right in the heart of Marigot, close to shopping, the Marigot Market and restaurants.
