About Manzanillo
Manzanillo refers to both the city name and its surrounding municipality in the Mexican state of Colima and is located on the Pacific Ocean.
Manzanillo's black, white and gold beaches are popular for relaxing and sports such as snorkelling and kayaking. Playa Las Brisas and Playa Miramar are two popular beaches here.
La Audiencia is a stylish enclave of million dollar real estate - hillside villas, hotels, condos and timeshares located on a narrow peninsula that separates the Bay of Santiago from the Bay of Manzanillo.
There's an abundance of fish such as sailfish and blue marlin just minutes away from shore making deep sea fishing a favourite pastime.
You'll find beachwear, pottery, baskets etc in souvenir shops adjoining the waterfront town plaza. The Miramar Flea Market at Miramar Beach also have a lot of souvenir stands. There are two shopping centres here - Plaza Manzanillo and Salagua, on Boulevard Miguel de la Madrid.
Fresh seafood, fish and Mexican dishes can all be found on menus.
