About Korcula
Korcula (pronounced Kor-chula) is an island in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County of Croatia and lies just off the Dalmatian coast in the Adriatic Sea.
Korcula Town is the main town on the island, it is a walled town with numerous buildings and monuments, cafes, restaurants, hotels and galleries.
Places of interest include the Korcula Town Museum, the Bishop's Palace and Crkva Gospojina (Church of our Lady).
The island has a lot of small and secluded beaches. Banje (pebble beach) and Luca Korculanska (sandy) are both in Korcula Town.
Local dishes include Pasticada, lamb cooked on a spit, Brodet and barbecued seafood.
