Houston is a city in the state of Texas, in the United States of America.

Discovery Green is a 12 acre public park in the middle of downtown Houston. Inside features a boating pond, a giant fountain, picnic grounds, a playground, an amphitheatre, jogging trails and places to play bocce ball, horseshoes and croquet.

Texas is known for its own variation of chilli con carne which, unlike other chilli from other regions, never includes beans. Chicken fried steak is a traditional Texas dish, a variation on schnitzel that came to Texas along with German immigrants.

Cruise ships dock at the Bayport Cruise Terminal, located in the city of Pasadena, just outside of Houston.

Car hire and taxis are available at the terminal.

Shops, restaurants and attractions can be found around 10 minutes away.
