Doha

Doha is the capital city of the state of Qatar, a sovereign Arab state, located in Western Asia. Doha is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

Attractions include the Museum of Islamic Art, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, State Grand Mosque, Katara Cultural Village and Aspire Park.

Experience a dune adventure or camel ride at Khor Al Udeid.

Doha Corniche is a waterfront promenade extending for several kilometres along Doha Bay, with good views towards the city.

Other museums include Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art and Qatar National Museum and Aquarium.

Families with children may enjoy Aqua Park Qatar.

Souq Waqif is renowned for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts and souvenirs. There are also lots of restaurants serving many cuisines, and Shisha lounges here too. There is also a good range of shopping malls and markets to explore.

There is a good range of cuisines in Doha, ranging from local dishes and fish/seafood options, to international favourites such as Italian, Asian, Sushi, Steakhouses and Turkish.

Cruise ships currently dock at Doha Port, which is around 15 minutes from the centre of town.

In general, most cruise lines provide shuttles services as taxis are not usually available.
