There are lots of shopping opportunities in Bali, ranging from fine art, handicrafts and antique furniture to paintings, delicately carved jewellery, masks and woven and dyed fabrics.

The staple food in Bali is rice, accompanied by vegetables, a small amount of fish or meat, and a range of condiments, consumed often as snacks. In Indonesia, eating with your right hand is common.

Indonesian dishes such as satay and Chinese food is mainly served in restaurants and tourist destinations.

Cruise ships may use two ports, Benoa Harbour or Padang Bay.

For Benoa, most ships anchor offshore and passengers are tendered to a small cruise terminal in the middle of nowhere. Smaller ships may dock alongside.

Inside the cruise terminal there examples of Balinese art and culture as well as occasional demonstrations of woodcarving, batik printing, paintings and sculpture.
