Apia

Apia is the capital and the largest city of Samoa, located on the central north coast of Upolu, Samoa's second largest island. It is located in the South Pacific Ocean.

Robert Louis Stevenson's house - now a museum, it was the poet's home for the last few years of his life and his burial site.

Lu'au is probably the dish that Samoa is most famous for. Made from taro plant leaves, coconut cream and onions, it is then ideally cooked in an umu (traditional Samoan method for cooking food).

Cruise ships dock at the busy Apia Port, around a 20 minute walk into the town centre.
