About Philipsburg
Philipsburg is the capital city of the Dutch part of the island, St Maarten (St Martin). It is located in the north eastern part of the Caribbean.
Philipsburg is only four streets deep and one mile long, but it contains numerous shops (duty free) selling everything from electronics, alcohol and jewellery.
For gamblers, there are many casinos.

Cruise Terminal
The main Cruise Terminal is located in Philipsburg, the dock is around 1 mile away from the centre. The terminal has shops and taxis are available. Occasionally, ships may anchor off shore and tender passengers right into the centre of town.
Some smaller cruise ships can anchor outside Marigot on the French side of the island and tender passengers to the harbour.
