Veendam

The Showroom at Sea is the ship's two tier theatre located over the Promenade and Upper Promenade Decks.

The ship's main entertainment takes place here ranging from singers and dancers to musicians and comedians.

The Wajang Theatre and Culinary Arts Centre is on the Promenade Deck of the ship.

As well as hosting cookery demonstrations, it is also used as the ships cinema airing films released to DVD and serving fresh complimentary popcorn.

Mass is also held here amongst other venues including the Showroom at Sea.

At night the Crows Nest becomes the venue for the Veendam's nightclub (located on the Sports Deck).

The casino has a number of games tables, slots and electronic gaming machines and is served by the casino bar.

It is located on the Upper Promenade Deck of the ship.

Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to gamble or loiter in the casino (proof of age may be requested).

The Hudson Room is one of the ship's multi- purpose rooms often used for bridge and other card games.

The ship's shopping arcade can be found on the Upper Promenade Deck featuring a selection of shops.

Guests can purchase a number of items ranging from fragrances, cosmetics, souvenirs and clothing to duty free spirits, tobacco and fashion accessories.

The Photo Lab on the Promenade Deck is where passengers can purchase photos taken on board and at ports of call by the ship's official photographers.

Cameras and photographic equipment can also be bought here and photos processed or copied to CD's.

The Gourmet Shops offer a selection of goods for passengers to purchase.

The Merabella Luxury Shop can be found on Deck 8 of the ship.

The Photo Gallery on the Promenade Deck is where all the photos taken by the ship's on board photographer can be viewed.

Passengers can try a variety of different wines including HAL's own label at the wine tasting bar on the Promenade Deck which can also be purchased if desired.

The bar offers complimentary pre-dinner appetisers such as crisp sausage cakes with red wine prunes and blue cheese gourgeres and wine by the glass at $5 per glass.

The Explorations Cafe on the Upper Promenade Deck provides guests with a selection of board games and extensive range of DVDs which can be borrowed to view in cabins.

The ship's Digital Workshops take place in the Queen's Room on the Upper Promenade Deck leading off the dining room.

These complimentary courses led by Microsoft trained staff offer passengers the chance to learn and have a go at topics such as how to edit and enhance photos, how to post photos on various social websites and how to create blogs.
