The Rotterdam Dining Room is the ship's Main Restaurant located over 2 tiers on the Promenade and Upper Promenade Decks (Decks 7 & 8).

The Queen's Room annex of the restaurant is a multi use room.

Open for breakfast from 7.30am to 8.30am, lunch from 12.30 to 1.30pm, afternoon tea at 3.00pm and dinner, the restaurant offers a choice of either traditional pre-set seating and dining times or the ships "As You Wish" freedom dining.

Dinner comprises of 5 courses ranging from appetisers of steamed mussels to fettuccine, chicken and desserts.

A number of themed afternoon teas are served during a cruise along with a standard one and include a Cupcake Tea where guests can enjoy a cup of tea or glass of milk accompanied by a variety of 10 different cupcakes served table side and an Indonesian Tea Ceremony serving exotic teas of Indonesia along with cakes and sandwiches.

The Canaletto Restaurant on Deck 11, in a corner of the Lido Restaurant, is the ship's reservation-only Italian restaurant, serving dinner from 5.30pm to 9.30pm with reservations recommended.

Food on offer includes a selection of antipasti, soups and salads (ranging from minestrone soup to tomato, cucumber and olive salad), pasta (such as seafood linguini and spaghetti and meatballs) and desserts (including tiramisu, ice cream and chocolate mille-feuille).

Other menu items include Italian Herb Sausage and Canellini Beans, Insalata Canaletto, Veal Osso Bucco and Chicken Cacciatore "All Forno".

Note - this venue attracts an additional charge.

The Pinnacle Grill, located on Deck 8, is an intimate reservation-only additional charge restaurant.

Lunch reservations may be made once you are on board ($10 surcharge). Charges for dinner are $29 per head for dinner (served from 5.30pm to 9.30pm with reservations recommended). Under 12's eat free whilst teens cost 50% of the adult charges. (Prices correct at 2016)

Dishes on offer range from premium sterling silver beef, filet mignon and jumbo prawns, and broiled lobster tail to Caesar salad and lobster bisque for starters and chocolate and raisin bread and butter pudding or baked Alaska for dessert.

The lunch time menu offers dishes such as fish sandwiches on sourdough bread, pasta and salads.

For one evening per cruise, The Pinnacle is transformed into "An Evening at le Cirque" with a change to its wine list and table decorations and the menu serving dishes from Sirio Maccioni's legendary New York Restaurant such as lobster salad, sweetcorn soup, seared black cod, three cheese ravioli and crème brulee. Charges for "An Evening at le Cirque" are $49 per head for dinner or $69 per head with 3 glasses of wine. (Prices correct 2016).

Also held in the Pinnacle Grill are one off events such as Cellar Master's Premium Wine Tasting which costs $35 per person.

Dive In at the Terrace Grill (formerly known as the Terrace Grill), is located on Deck 11, poolside.

Offering light bites throughout the day, Dive In serves signature hamburgers, hotdogs and fries as well as chicken and vegetarian options.

Guests can also make their own taco with handmade tortillas or hard taco shells and a selection of popular condiments and fillings including chicken, beef and pork, at the Taco Bar.

Veendam's casual Lido Restaurant is on Deck 11 of the ship.

It provides a relaxed dining area with fresh cooked to order selections.

The breakfast menu (continental from 6 am to 11am and full buffet from 6.30am to 10.30am) offers stations varying from cooked to order eggs, pancakes and cereal to fresh fruit, muffins, fresh orange juice and yogurt.

The lunch buffet provides passengers with a choice of dishes from around the world, for example Asian stir-fry, pizza, pasta, and sandwiches along with an extensive salad bar and deli (varying opening times).

Afternoon tea is also served here.

The buffet style dinner (served from 5.30pm to 8.00pm) comprises of a similar selection to those in the main dining room with appetisers such as fruit, chicken and seafood, soups and salads, entrees and desserts.

It re-opens later on in the evening from 11pm to 12.00am serving late night snacks based on different themes, such as the chocolate dessert extravaganza and hot hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour.
