The Capri Dining Room, located midship on the Plaza Deck, offers anytime dining between 5.30pm and 9.30pm allowing guests to dine at a time and table to suit them.

The menu for all three main dining rooms serve the same four course dinner options with set choices.

The option of an 'always available menu' is also provided including steaks, chicken breast and salmon, along with Lotus Spa healthy options.

The Amalfi Dining Room aft of the Fiesta Deck is Star Princess' traditional dining room with set seating at either 5.30pm or 7.45pm (subject to change).

As with the other two main dining rooms the set menu is the offers the same four courses.

Always available and Lotus healthy eating options are also offered including chicken, steak or salmon amongst other options.

The Portofino Dining Room on the Star Princess is one of three main dining rooms and is open for breakfast between 7am and 9am, lunch from 12 to 1.30pm, afternoon tea from 3.30 to 4.30pm and traditional dining dinner at 5.45pm or anytime dining between 7.30pm and 10pm (times subject to change).

The Portofino Dining Room is on the Fiesta Deck of the Star Princess.

Sabatini's is one of Star Princess' two select restaurants.

Located on the Promenade Deck, it opens from around 6.00pm to 11pm for dinner (subject to reservations).

Sabatini's menu has now changed and features an a la carte menu offering both traditional Italian dishes and non-Italian dishes.

Authentic secondi courses and new nibbles are served along with focaccia grissini, rosemary flatbread with prosciutto and marinated olives served with every meal.

Examples of dishes on offer include duck with fava beans, baked striped bass cooked in a herbed salt crust, penne pasta with braised ossobucco meat sauce and spaghetti with seafood.

Prego Pizzeria is a pool side eatery serving complimentary slices of Chicago style pizza.

Located conveniently by Neptunes Pool on the Lido Deck it opens from around 11am to 11pm.

The Crown Grill is one of two speciality restaurants on the Star Princess and is located on the Promenade Deck close to the theatre.

Open from around 6pm to 11pm, Crown Grill features premium beef and seafood items along with appetisers and special desserts.

Examples of food on offer include black tiger prawns or seared pacific scallops for appetisers, black and blue onion soup or marinated goat's cheese and tomato salad, Chilean sea bass, pan roasted barramundi, New Zealand lamb rack and rib eye steak for mains and molten chocolate cake or lemon meringue pudding tart for dessert.

Some items may be subject to additional charge for example the option of either a whole Maine lobster or Brazilian Lobster tail costs an additional $9.

Crown Grill is also open for a few days throughout a cruise (between 11.30am and 2pm) serving a complimentary English Pub Style Lunch with English beers and favourites such as fish and chips, bangers and mash and ploughman's lunch and bread and butter pudding for dessert.

Vines Bar, located on the Plaza Deck opens from 11am to 11pm and offers complimentary sushi and tapas with all drinks purchased.

The Trident Grill on the Lido Deck serves burgers, chicken breast sandwiches, hotdogs and fries.

It is ideally located for those by Neptunes pool and opens from around 11am to 11pm.

Sundaes Ice Cream Bar can be found midship on the Lido Deck by the Calypso Reef and pool.

Regular ice cream is complimentary whilst 3 scoops of gelato are $1.50 and milkshakes are additional charge too.

The International Café, located on the Plaza Deck, is open 24 hours a day and serves a selection of teas and coffees (additional charge) along with a range of pastries, doughnuts, cakes, desserts, sandwiches, salads and soup which are complimentary.

Guests wishing to make frequent use of the International Café can purchase a coffee card for $29 for 15 drinks (choice of cappuccino, espresso, lattes or mochas).

Its location by the central plaza area with its own entertainment makes it a good place for a drink and light snack during the day and night.

Horizon Court is Star Princess' casual buffet style eatery.

Located aft of the Lido Deck it opens from 5am to 6am serving a continental breakfast and from 6am to 11.30am serving a full self service style buffet breakfast with cooked to order eggs, bacon, cereals and fruit etc.

Lunch is served from 11.30 to 3.30pm and light snacks from 3.30 to 5.30pm.

For dinner it becomes a waiter served bistro from 5.30pm to midnight.

Horizon Court offers a range of different themed buffets from Italian to Asian.

Between 11pm to 4am is remains open for snacks and tea and coffee.

Passengers can make use of the complimentary room service at any time of the day or night. For continental breakfast (offering fruit juice, cereals, Danish pastries, croissants, egg, cheese and bacon breakfast muffin, hot beverages and fruit) guests can fill in the breakfast card and place it on their door at night.

With coffee, iced tea and milk available round the clock, food options range from sandwiches served with either fries, crisps or coleslaw, soups and salads, hot dishes such as beef chilli, lasagne and burgers, and sweets such as chocolate cake or cookies.

For passengers wishing to enjoy a romantic dining experience with breathtaking views from their own balcony, this special room service option is available for either breakfast (at $32 per couple) or dinner ($50 per person).

Breakfast includes speciality pastries, fresh fruits, quiche, smoked salmon and other special treats served with half a bottle of champagne.

For dinner, personal dedicated wait staff serve a special dining experience on guests' stateroom balconies.

Dinner begins with a hosted cocktail party with fresh flowers and champagne followed by a deluxe four-course meal of appetisers, salad, main course such as lobster tail or juicy steak, rounded off by dessert.

The Chef's Table experience provides the chance to tour the ship's busy galley during dinner service, where the ship's executive chef previews the evenings menu with a selection of hors d'oeuvres and Champagne for guests to enjoy.

Guests are then taken to a private table in the main dining room to enjoy a specially created multi-course menu accompanied by selected wines to complement each course.

During the dessert course the chef re-joins the table to discuss the evenings menu and share their culinary knowledge.

Available for up to 10 passengers per night (which may include mixed groups), the experience can be booked either through the ships DINE telephone line or at the dining reservations table set up on the first night of the cruise.

The experience costs $95 per person and includes a complimentary copy of Princess' cookery book and photo taken at the private table with the chef.

Menus tend to be formed around regional specialities from a recent port visited and an example of one such menu includes (amongst other dishes):-

or Foie gras terrine on brioche

~ Asparagus risotto with lobster tail

~ Sangria granite

~ Trio of beef, veal and pork tenderloin
served with mashed potato, grilled
asparagus and charred cherry tomatoes

~ Baked Camembert with pine nuts and a port
wine reduction with walnut bread

~ Soft centre cake with marshmallows and
chocolate amaretto sauce

~ Coffee or tea and homemade amaretti
biscotti.
