Skyline is one of Pride of America’s two main dining rooms located aft of deck 5 and with clean crisp lines, the décor is reminiscent of the 1930’s New York art deco period.

Open for waiter served breakfast (7.00am to 9.00am), lunch (12.00pm to 2.00pm) and dinner (5.30pm to 9.30pm), breakfast offerings include eggs cooked to order, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, French toast, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, sausages and bacon.

The Lunch Time menu provides guests with a three course menu comprising of Appetisers, Soups and Salads, Entrees and Desserts with dishes such as Goat’s Cheese and Pancetta Quiche or Split Pea Soup to start, BBQ Pork Ribs, Pasta or Sandwiches for mains and Warm Peach and Blueberry Cobbler or Ice Cream for dessert.

The menu for dinner offers a choice of two options, one being Classic Selections which are served everyday such as starters of Pork and Vegetable Spring Rolls, Smoked Salmon Terrance and Norwegian’s Signature Caesar Salad; Entrees of Grilled New York Strip Steak, Braised Lamb Shank and Penne Pasta with a choice of three different sauces and Desserts including Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cake, Warm Bread and Butter Pudding, Ice Cream and Strawberry Cheesecake.

The second option on the menu is the chef’s signature specialities which change daily with dishes such as Prosciutto with Melon and Figs or Black Bean Soup, Grilled Sirloin Steak or Poached Cod and Lemon and Ginger Custard or Carrot Cake to finish.

Skyline also plays host to the Skyline Cabaret providing guests with musical entertainment whilst they dine. (See Freestyle Daily for details).

Liberty is Pride of America’s second main dining room and is the more formal of the two. Located on deck 6, aft, the restaurant is decorated with stars, stripes and artwork depicting important parts of American history. (Shorts are not permitted in Liberty).

Open for dinner only between 5.30pm and 9.00pm, the menu is the same as that served in Skyline’s.

Shabu Shabu serves savoury meats and vegetables which guests dip into sauces of their choice providing an interactive dining experience.

Located on deck 5, midship with a cover charge of $15 per person, it opens from 5.30pm until 9.00pm with seatings every half an hour.

The Shabu-Shabu selection (so called due to the cooking method of ingredients being cooked in a pot of aromatic broth) includes:

Thinly Sliced Sirloin Beef and Tofu
Bok Choy with Cabbage, Onions and Carrots
Shitake Mushrooms and Enoki Mushrooms
Peanut Sauce and Ponzu Sauce

The Noodle Bar option is a traditional soup pot of Ginger Chicken Breast with Chicken Breast served with the following choices:

Rice Noodles, Udon Noodles, Shanghai Noodles or Rice Vermicelli
Vegetable Dumplings, Pork Dumplings or Shrimp Wantons
Watercress, Bok Choy, Snow Peas, Fresh Mushrooms or Broccoli

Both choices also include Steamed Edamame, Chilled Seaweed Salad and a choice of Mochi Ice Cream or Fresh Fruit Sashimi for dessert.

The Sushi Bar serves Japanese sushi and sashimi expertly prepared as you watch and seats 12 guests. It is located on deck 5 midship and open from 11.30am to 2.30pm for lunch (some days it only opens for dinner) and 5.30pm to 9.30pm for dinner.

With an à la carte charge, prices range from $2.25 to $2.75 for two pieces of sushi, $3 to $4.50 for four pieces of sashimi, and between $3.00 and $4.50 for rolls.

Alternatively guests can opt for a sushi and sashimi combo. The Diamond selection costs $12 for a tuna sashimi, rainbow roll, prawn sashimi and California roll whilst the Ruby package (also $12) comprises of big eye tuna sashimi, octopus sushi, an eel, avocado and cucumber roll and a barbequed eel, yellowtail and avocado roll.

Starters including Miso soup ($1.50) and Sesame Seaweed Salad ($2.75) are also available along with desserts such as Green Tea Cake for $2.25.

Teppanyaki on deck 5 midship opens for dinner with seating’s at 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm, and invites 8 guests per table to sit around the central cooking area for an Asian dining experience where they watch the chefs show off their skills slicing and dicing whilst preparing meat, poultry, fish and vegetables on an iron “Teppan” griddle.

The menu starts with Miso soup and Seaweed Salad with Ginger Dressing before guests select from either classics such as Chicken Yakiudon, Filet Mignon or Vegetable, or combinations such as Samurai and Shinto. Garlic fried rice and Teppanyaki vegetables accompany these dishes followed by dessert of either Green Tea Cake with Cashew Nut Brittle or Fresh Fruit Sashimi.

The cost to dine here is $25 per head (children aged 4 to 12 can eat free from the kids menu or half price from the kid’s speciality menu whilst children aged three and under eat for free) and reservations are recommended which can be made 24 hours prior to dining at the Reservations Desk in the Capitol Atrium on deck 5 or via the reservations phone number.

Complimentary room service is available throughout the day and night although between midnight and 5am a delivery charge of $3.95 applies (guests ordering only pizza or beverages won’t be charged as they are charged for their order instead).

Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10am via the Room Service Breakfast Order Form, whilst items such as Chicken Soup, Greek Salad, Sandwiches, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Omelettes, Cheesecake and Fruit Plates can be ordered 24 hours a day.

Children’s selections are also available such as Chicken Fingers, Macaroni Cheese and Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches (all served with carrot sticks and potato chips), Cookies, Brownies and Ice Cream.

The Chef's Table dining experience features a nine-course, upscale menu consisting of unique and contemporary creations using the highest quality ingredients and sophisticated cooking techniques. Each course is accompanied by wines that are specially paired by a Master Sommelier.

The two-and-a-half hour experience starts with a reception where guests enjoy a glass of champagne with the ship's Executive Chef, Food and Beverage Director, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Maître d' and Head Wine Steward. Guests are then invited to take a group photo before sitting down to begin their meal in an intimate restaurant setting. The Executive Chef describes the first two courses: an Amuse Bouche
‘Molecular Gastronome' consisting of Spherical Mango, Vodka & Jalapeno Ravioli and an Orange-Wasabi Glazed Ahi Tuna Tartar with freshly-baked Sesame Crisp.

Courses one and two are accompanied by the Master Sommelier's paired wine selection. Asparagus Cream is served for course three, followed by the fourth course, a Short Crust Tartlet and Grapefruit and Moscato Granite is served as course number five. As the Executive Chef describes the ingredients and technique used to create the courses, the second wine selection is served and guests are invited to ask questions about the dishes. The sixth course comprises of a Plantain-Crusted, Pan Seared Sea Bass accompanied by Mango, Papaya & Avocado Salsa and Lobster Veloute and a Milk-Fed Veal Chop with Anna Potatoes, Sautéed Spinach and Truffle Veal Jus is served for course number seven. A cheese platter filled with an assortment of gourmet cheeses is served as course eight and course nine, dessert, offers a choice of either a Yogurt-Mousse Dome with Lychee Raspberry Crème, Hazel Sablee and Lime Vanilla Reduction; or a Chocolate Log with 'Spiced' Dark Rum, Infused Banana and Cocoa Mousse.

This dining experience has a cover charge of $75 per person, including gratuities, a behind-the-scenes galley tour, one group photo and an individual photo with the Executive Chef. The Chef's Table is limited to 12 guests per experience and is offered once per cruise.

Seating 332 guests inside and 338 outside it opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast options include items such as fruit juice, fresh fruit, muffins and pastries, cereals, waffles, omelettes, bacon, baked beans, sausages, cold cuts, pancakes, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Lunch and dinner options are similar with a range of salads, pasta, pizza, Indian dishes, Chinese dishes, vegetarian options, cold cuts, meat, vegetables and sandwiches with a few extra hot options for dinner such as additional pasta dishes, carvery and potato gratin.

Some family activities are also held in the Aloha Cafe such as pizza making.
