Oceana

Connection to the internet is available on board Oceana either via the computers in Explorers on deck 5 or guests own personal devices, subject to the ship receiving a signal from the satellite.

A one off activation fee of £2.50 is applicable after which guests can either purchase a time bundle (a full list of time packages is provided on board, such as £35.00 for 100 minutes, £62.50 for 250 minutes) which work out at around 25p to 35p per minute dependent upon the package purchased or opt for the Pay As You Go rate of 50p per minute.

Emails can be set up using CruisEmail which charges £2.50 per sent email or alternatively guests can send emails from their own personal email accounts which don’t attract the £2.50 charge.

Black and white printing is also available in Explorers at a charge of £0.30 per page.

Guests wishing to access the internet can do so on one of the five workstations available in Explorers on Deck 5 where printing is also available. (Cyb@study was replaced in the ships 2012 refit by a cards room).

For guests wishing to use their own personal wireless devices, full Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the ship and incurs the same charge as standard internet access.

Additionally a number of laptops are available for guests to hire whilst on board with Wi-Fi connectivity. Laptop hire is complimentary with the purchase of a time plan although guests must pay £6.50 per day insurance.

Guests may also be able to gain Wi-Fi connection via their own supplier, generally when close to shore but out at sea connection will be via the ship’s satellite signal.
