Norwegian Breakaway’s Theatre offers two Broadway shows: Rock of Ages and Burn the Floor. It is situated forward of decks 6 and 7 with seating for 800 guests and served by its own bar.

Rock of Ages is a 5-time Tony Award nominated famed musical re-living the days of the big bands and big hair with hits of the 80s including “Don’t Stop Believin,” We Built This City,” “The Final Countdown,” “Here We Go Again” and much more. Set on infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of a boy from south Detroit and a small-town girl, both in Los Angeles chasing their dreams of making it big and falling in love.

Burn the Floor (offering shows both in the Breakaway Theatre at 7.00pm and 9.30pm and the more intimate performances in the Manhattan Room) mixes traditional ballroom dances with high energy and excitement with dances including The Waltz, Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa, Rumba, Foxtrot, Mambo and Paso Doble accompanied by eclectic music from Swing and Waltz to J-Lo and Credence Clearwater. Two vocalists also perform in multiple languages during the show from English to Spanish and Portuguese.

Events such as bingo also take place in the theatre.

Fat Cats Jazz & Blues Club, forward of deck 8, has nightly live blues and jazz performances by Slam Allen and other world class talent.

The Urban style backdrop creates a hipster vibe complete with a full bar and comfortable leather sofas and chairs.

Additionally Fat Cats features an outdoor seating area on The Waterfront where guests can enjoy a drink and live music in the warm ocean breeze.

Headliners, midship on deck 6, is home to The Second City and Howl At The Moon with the room designed to reflect a show lounge format with a small raised stage, concrete floors and brick walls along with a full bar allowing guests to enjoy a drink whilst they catch a show.

The Second City Troupe provide hilarious improvised comedy including a special customized comedy revue of satirical skits, songs and inventive improvisation whilst Howl At The Moon features talented piano players providing a rock n’ roll duelling piano show with interaction from the audience.

Bliss Ultra Lounge is a popular hotspot for guests designed to resemble trendy New York Clubs and entered through an LED-lit tunnel to the illuminated bar where LED walls and a pulsating dance floor provide the ideal backdrop to dance the night away.

Events such as evening trivia are also held in the Bliss Ultra Lounge along with karaoke sessions.

Spanning more than 18,000 square feet midship of deck 7 is the ship's casino featuring luxurious ornamental lighting and decorative art work including gold tiles.
Guests can try their luck on more than 300 of the latest slot machines along with 26 gaming tables featuring black jack, roulette, poker and craps.

Prior to visiting the casino, guests can join Norwegian’s free Casinos at Sea Players Club enabling them to earn points called Seabucks, based on the amount of time spent playing and the bets wagered. Seabucks can be redeemed during the cruise for things like spa treatments, shore excursions or even dollars off guest’s final bill.

The Click Photo Gallery on deck 5 displays all the photos taken on board the ship by the official photographers. Guests can quickly locate their photos using their cruise card which tells them which housing tower and folder number they are stored in.

The Shop also sells a selection of digital cameras and accessories.

Guests can also view and order their photos using the automated kiosk by swiping their card on the machine.

The Spiegel Tent (forward of deck 6) is home to Breakaway’s Cirque Dreams and Dinner Jungle Fantasy featuring an international cast of Cirque Dreamers performing amazing acrobatics whilst bringing to life soaring butterflies, hopping frogs, flipping monkeys, fanciful birds and spine bending lizards in an exotic adventure.

Whilst enjoying watching the spectacular performance, guests are served dinner to enjoy along with the entertainment.

Charges apply and reservations are required.

The Spiegel Tent is also occasionally used for entertainment events such as the Newlywed Not so Newlywed Comedy Game Show.

678 Ocean Place intertwines and connects three entire decks of daytime and night time entertainment and is the heart of Norwegian Breakaway.

With sweeping views from each interconnected level it features a showcase chandelier and glass staircases that elegantly spiral up and down.

Each level within 678 Ocean Place offers something different, from relaxing with a Cosmopolitan at the Atrium Bar on Deck 6 to exciting casino action on Deck 7 whilst Deck 8 features The Waterfront along with countless venues offering indoor and outdoor seating.

Guests can also choose from a wide range of drinks, complimentary bar snacks and an Ice Cream bar selling everything from sundaes to milkshakes and floats.

Central to the ship is the three deck high atrium with its large open seating area at the base of the atrium on deck 6 and a giant screen used for airing live sporting events, movies and open Nintendo Wii gaming.
