Celebrating the Tuscan countryside, guests can choose to dine either al fresco on the outdoor patio on The Waterfront, in the main restaurant or the interior terrace option giving guests the chance to dine along the interior walkway with its twinkling lanterns, exposed wood beams and greenery.

Wasabi is an á la carte charge traditional sushi bar complete with a Yakitori grill serving a selection of popular sushi, sashimi and rolled favourites in a setting featuring unique contemporary décor that includes authentic calligraphy-lined walls and digital aquarium visuals displayed on an in-wall plasma screen. To complement the experience, Sake fans can check out the Sake menu for a carafe.

Prices range from $2.25 to $2.75 for two pieces of sushi, $3 to $4.50 for four pieces of sashimi and between $3.00 and $4.50 for rolls.

Alternatively guests can opt for a sushi and sashimi combo. The Diamond selection costs $12 for a tuna sashimi, rainbow roll, prawn sashimi and California roll whilst the Ruby package (also $12) comprises of big eye tuna sashimi, octopus sushi, an eel, avocado and cucumber roll and a barbequed eel, yellowtail and avocado roll.

Starters including Miso soup ($1.50) and Sesame Seaweed Salad ($2.75) are also available along with desserts such as Green Tea Cake for $2.25.

There is no half price menu available for children in Wasabi which opens for lunch between noon and 3.00pm and dinner from 5.00pm to midnight.

Teppanyaki is located starboard of deck 6 midship, with a cover charge of $25 per person (reservations recommended). It offers a hibachi-style dinner and show and has a tranquil ambiance delivered from its traditional Japanese rock garden featuring bamboo plants and bonsai trees.

Seating 96 guests around 12 flat top grills the chef’s showcase their knife skills whilst cooking exhibition style Japanese cuisine.

An example of the menu on offer starts with Miso soup and Seaweed Salad with Ginger Dressing before guests select from either classics such as Chicken Yakiudon, Filet Mignon or Vegetable, or combinations such as Samurai and Shinto. Garlic fried rice and Teppanyaki vegetables accompany these dishes followed by dessert of either Green Tea Cake with Cashew Nut Brittle or Fresh Fruit Sashimi.

It is open from 5.00pm until 10.15pm.

Moderno Churrascaria is located aft of deck 8. It is the ship's signature Brazilian-style steakhouse with both indoor and outdoor seating areas on the Waterfront.

With a cover charge of $20 per guest, the restaurant serves succulent skewers of barbecued meats which are carved tableside. Guests control how much they want with their green and red card, green means the carving continues and red is shown to indicate when guests are full.

The signature cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken are served along with rice, black beans, mashed potatoes and sweet fried bananas on the side, a selection wide selection of salads, Brazilian cheese bread and desserts including coconut flan, papaya crème and mango rice pudding.

It is designed to provide diners with a luxury seafood dining experience with guests being treated to a menu of refined seafood items prepared with the highest quality ingredients along with an extensive wine list and Zakarian’s signature cocktails.

The restaurant is one of three seafood dining experiences from Geoffrey Zakarian on Norwegian Breakaway (the other two being Ocean Blue on the Waterfront and The Raw Bar).

O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill, Breakaways 24/7 complimentary food itinerary with a pub-like atmosphere, is located forward of deck 7, portside in the heart of the ship at 678 Ocean Place.

Serving up Irish/American classics and comfort foods such as Chicken Pot Pie, Fish and Chips, Buffalo Wings, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Tuna Melt and Malted Vanilla Shake in a relaxed, pub atmosphere, O’Sheehan’s also serves a breakfast menu with offerings such as scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, pastries, muffins, rolls, toast, homemade corned beef hash, omelettes made to order and French toast along with hot beverages and fruit juice.

O’Sheehan’s also has its own Ice cream bar serving everything from malts and shakes to sundaes at á la carte prices.

The Spiegel Tent forward of deck 6 is home to Breakaway’s Cirque Dreams and Dinner Jungle Fantasy featuring an international cast of Cirque Dreamers performing amazing acrobatics whilst bringing to life soaring butterflies, hopping frogs, flipping monkeys, fanciful birds and spine bending lizards and an exotic adventure.

Whilst enjoying watching the spectacular performance, guests are served dinner to enjoy along with the entertainment.

Charges apply of around $29 for a standard seat and $39 for a prime location seat and reservations are required with show times at 5.45pm and 9.00pm.

The three course menu comprises of a starter of Prosciutto with mozzarella and tomato, followed by Surf and Turf and a desserts of a Trilogy of Sweets.

Guests can also book to enjoy a remarkable spectacle at their very own table right up on stage for $450. Available for up to 6 people, guests will also receive a non-refundable beverage credit to enjoy their favourite drinks during the show.

Served once per cruise and for twelve guests is Norwegian’s Chef’s Table where, for $89 per person, diners can enjoy a special tastings and wine pairings nine course menu with the executive chef explaining each course and the head wine steward discussing each wine pairing.

Complimentary room service is available throughout the day and night although between midnight and 5am a delivery charge of $3.95 applies. (Guests ordering only pizza or beverages won’t be charged as they are charged for their order instead).

Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10am via the Room Service Breakfast Order Form, whilst items such as Chicken Soup, Greek Salad, Sandwiches, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Omelettes, Cheesecake and Fruit Plates can be ordered 24 hours a day.

Children’s selections are also available such as Chicken Fingers, Macaroni Cheese and Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches (all served with carrot sticks and potato chips), Cookies, Brownies and Ice Cream.
