Liberty Of The Seas

The Platinum Theatre lies forward of the ship with seating on decks 2, 3 and 4 and featuring a total of five stories from the Orchestra pit to domed ceiling.

The theatre is used for a multitude of entertainment from game shows, 3-D movies (primarily DreamWorks productions) and bingo during the day, whilst at night it is the venue for the ships large scale production shows ranging from Saturday Night Fever musicals to In the Air acrobatic performances and comedy acts.

Evening shows begin at 9.00pm for guests on first dinner seating and 10.45pm for those on second seating.

Featuring Cleopatra’s needle at it's entrance and adorned by Egyptian style décor including statues of Egyptian God Anubis, The Sphinx Lounge lays forward of deck 5 and seats 299 guests. The lounge serves as Liberty’s secondary show lounge featuring a live band, hosting events such as the Crown & Anchor cocktail reception, and hosting a number of activities from Name That Tune to bingo and audience participation game shows.

The Catacombs is the ship's 218 seat Nightclub located outside the theatre on deck 4. Featuring gothic and neon décor, Catacombs hosts family club nights, teen discos and DJs later in the night. The club is two levels high with the dance floor on the lower level with bars upstairs and downstairs.

Open from around 8pm for children and teens parties, later on in the evening the venue is open to over 18’s only.

The ship's 447 seat casino, midship of deck 4 by the photo gallery and served by its own bar, features around 300 Slot Machines and 20 gaming tables including Video Poker, Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Caribbean Stud Poker. Guests using the casino can either pay cash or use their Sea Pass card to play games.

With a large selection to choose from, the slot machines range from nickel slots up to dollar machines. Royal Slot Tournaments also take place on-board which is a qualifying tournament for a grand finale slot tournament later in the year and requires a $25 entry fee.

The Screening Room, located forward on deck 2, is the ship's 60 seat cinema. Guests can enjoy recently released films in an authentic cinema venue with around two different movies aired twice a day.

Seven Hearts on deck 14 seats 33 guests and is the ship's card and games room.

The SeaTrek Dive Shop located on deck 11 aft of the H2O Zone, starboard side sells water gear including wet suits, snorkelling gear and flippers along with souvenirs. It also rents out wetsuits for people who wish to wear them for FlowRider.

People wishing to obtain a PADI certification for diving can visit SeaTrek to find out more information on the courses which are run.

The course teaches the basics of diving through participation in pool dives, knowledge development sessions and two dives in some of the best locations in the world. Upon completion of the course, guests will be awarded the PADI Scuba Diver certification. Participants must be at least 12 years old to take part in the classes which cost $249.00 per person.

Located along the Royal Promenade on deck 5 outside the Get Out There shop, guests can get a temporary airbrushed tattoo that lasts from three to seven days, with over 100 unique designs to choose from.

The Fashion Boutique on the Royal Promenade sells sunglasses, jewellery, Swarovski crystals, Bijoux Terner accessories, Fossil-brand sunglasses, handbags and leather product along with, Guess clothing and accessories.

The Perfume Shop, located on the Royal Promenade (deck 5), stocks all the latest fragrances, skincare products and cosmetics, all at duty free prices.

Perfume brands range from Bvlgari, Chanel, Ralph Loren, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana to Armani, with a choice of skin care products from Lancôme, Shiseido, La Prairie, StriVectin, Dr. Brandt and Estée Lauder.

Guests wishing to purchase souvenirs with the Royal Caribbean logo on can do so at the Logo shop on deck 5 of the ship along the Royal Promenade. Gifts on offer range thermos flasks, key rings, t-shirts and chocolates to teddy bears and DreamWorks toys.

Liberty of the Seas model ships, resort wear without the RCL logo and a small selection of sundries, including sun block, tampons, pain relievers, toothpaste, etc are also available.

Gifts and Jewellery retails a selection of designer jewellery and watches from the likes of Tonino Lamborghini, Tag Heuer, Rado, Ramond Weil, Victorinox, Bulova and Longines, Korite, Le Vian, Effy, Auragento and Roberto Coin.

The general store on deck 5 sells duty free liquor and cigarettes along with essentials such as hair brushes, pain killers, tooth paste, suntan lotion, sweets and batteries and paperback fiction books.

Get out There retails active wear. Located along the Royal Promenade on deck 5, brands such as Roxy, Quicksilver, Lacoste and Puma are available here with sportswear and beach wear on offer.

The Photo Gallery and Shop on deck 4 by the atrium is where guests can visit to view professional photographs of their experiences onboard. In addition the latest cameras and accessories are available to purchase along with a digital studio allowing passengers to download and print images from their digital cameras.

Guests can also view formal onboard photos on the 24 hour touch screen photo kiosks.

Children can make their own cuddly toys in the Pets at Sea shop in Adventure Ocean on deck 12 with a selection of animals and outfits to choose from.

Pets at Sea sessions are only available at certain times and on select days during a cruise as listed in guests Daily Compass activity sheets which is delivered to staterooms each day.

The Royal Promenade, as well as featuring an array of shops, bars and eateries, is also the location for the ships DreamWorks character parades that take place several times throughout a cruise. Featuring characters from Kung Fu Panda to Shrek Films, guests can have professional photos taken of them with the characters or take their own after the dancing choreographed display has taken place.

The Viking Crown Lounge is perched high above the ocean on deck 14, a comfortable lounge offering spectacular vistas by day and a lively dance club at night.

Adults can learn anything from scrapbook making to jewellery making, Salsa dancing and poker skills in the Explorer Academy which is held on On Air on deck 3 at various times throughout the cruise (as listed in guests Daily Compass which lists all the activities taking place each day along with locations and times).

Guests can view first-run movies and big time sporting events poolside during the day and under the stars at night on deck 12 via a screen hoisted above the main pool area.

Studio B, located on deck 3 incorporates the ships onboard ice skating rink, where professional ice shows take place. Other activities also take place in Studio B such as game shows, parties, cooking demonstrations, and more.

The ice shows feature a cast of professional skaters from around the World. Due to the popularity of these shows, reservations are strongly recommended and complimentary tickets are available from Guest Services on the Royal Promenade (deck 5).
