The nautically themed Schooner Bar is the ships cocktail and piano bar located on deck 4 outside the theatre with seats for 112 guests and a resident pianist.

With a model old fashioned sailing ship forming part of the decoration along with ropes, rigging and leather chairs, guests can enjoy a dry martini whilst taking part in activities on offer which include music and other trivia quizzes.

This café on the Royal Promenade offers complimentary snacks, tea and Seattle regular coffee along with additional charge Starbucks coffee. Located at the heart of the lively Royal Promenade, the 24 hour cafe is the ideal place to get a drink and snack whilst browsing the shops or waiting for the parades along the promenade to begin.

Charges for Starbucks coffee are around $2.75 to $3.75 for a tall cappuccino and latte and $3.50 to $4.25 for a venti (extra large).

This quiet and elegant Champagne Bar on deck 5 outside the King Lear dining room seats 49 guests and is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of champagne before or after dinner.

Along with a wide variety of champagne to select from, cocktails, wines and spirits are also served here.

Vintages is Independence of the Seas' signature wine bar where guests can sit back and relax with a glass of wine and take in the view of the Royal Promenade.

Developed with Robert Mondavi, Beringer® Blass Wine Estates and Niebaum-Coppola, and located on deck 5, Vintages offers guests wines from some of the world’s finest vineyards.

During a cruise a number of tastings and classes are held with costs beginning at around $20.00 per person.

Both flights and glasses of wine are available along with a selection of tapas (charges apply).

On deck 5 by the shops with seating for 96 guests is the English-themed Dog and Badger Pub serving various imported beers and bottled ales. The pub also has a resident entertainer playing music most nights.

The Pool Bar on deck 11 is a small outdoor bar with few stools to sit on and caters for the ships main pools with a regular bar menu including refreshing frozen drinks and beer buckets. Overlooking the stage by the pool, activities such as the sexiest male competition and live music can be enjoyed from here.

It includes the Viking Lounge itself, Olive or Twist, Seven Hearts, Cloud Nine and the Diamond Club which can all be linked for special events. Individually, Cloud Nine is a small room with some seating and a piano but no bar, Seven Hearts is the ships card room and games room, the Diamond Club is an exclusive lounge for Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club Crown & Anchor® Society members and Olive or Twist is the ships martini bar which at night becomes a late night dance spot.

The 77 seat Boleros Lounge on deck 4 is situated around the atrium and is Independence’s Latin Bar. With windows overlooking the promenade deck and its own stage and dance floor, entertainment ranges from live bands playing salsa music making it the ideal night time hotspot to dance the night away in with a refreshing mango mojito or caipirinha.

Classical music is also played at this venue and it is ideally situated for pre dinner drinks before heading off to the main dining rooms.

Diamond Club on deck 14 seats 32 guests and is for Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club Crown & Anchor® Society members. It features concierge access, complimentary continental breakfast, and evening drinks. A self-service coffee and hot chocolate machine is also available in the Diamond Lounge.

Located on deck 12 and overlooking the pool area, Olive and Twist is the ships martini bar with activities ranging from ballroom dancing to party music. The light and airy bar is surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows offering views of the ocean and has its own dance floor and stage.

Open to adults aged 21 and over only with a seating capacity of 45, guests can enjoy cocktails and classic from the ships Elegance Trio along with late night jazz.

The Connoisseur Club on deck 5 outside the Pyramid Lounge is the Ships cigar lounge with its own bar for a late night scotch.

The On Air Club situated on deck 3 with seating for 140 guests and a standard bar menu is Independence’s karaoke bar. Some sporting events are also aired on the large screen along with Nintendo Wii bowling games at certain times during the cruise.

The On Air Club is also home to the ships free art auctions where guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne whilst bidding on art work to take home with them.

Additional activities include martini tasting (fees apply), and Explorer Academy where guests can learn different crafts such as how to create their own jewellery.

Squeeze, located port side and midship of deck 11, is a juice bar selling refreshing fruit drinks along with power shakes. Fruit smoothies cost $4.50, energiser powershakes around $4.95 and protein shakes for $4.95.

Fruit juices cost $4 for a 12oz glass or $5.25 for a 16oz glass and flavours on offer include wildberry, mango, peach, strawberry, raspberry, banana and pina colada.

The Plaza Bar opens from 7.00am in the morning for Speciality Coffee and Fresh Juice (normal bar charges apply). Located aft of deck 11 it also specialises in Sake and different types of tea and seats 50 guests.
