The two-tier Palladium theatre spanning decks 5 and 6 seats 870 guests and features nightly entertainment including contemporary musical stage productions, comedians, singers and dancers.

Examples of shows on offer include “Rhythm and Rhyme” featuring classical Broadway scores and “Divas of Motown”, a Motown tribute group.

Other events taking place in the theatre include movies in the afternoon, the Love and Marriage Game Show and late night comedy.

The 282 seat Casino Royale on deck 5 is the ships glittering casino with electronic slot machines from 1 cent to 25 cent, video poker, blackjack, craps, roulette and Caribbean stud poker. Decorated with neon lights and an Egyptian theme with large gilded Egyptian Sphinx statues, the area is also served by its own bar.

Tournaments are held in the casino (charges apply) as are complimentary gaming sessions to introduce guests who are new to casinos to the games on offer and how to play them.

Smoking is permitted in the Casino.

Outside Adventure Ocean on deck 10, children can make their very own cuddly toy at Pets at Sea with plush pet and outfit packages available for $32.95 and accessories and sounds also on sale.

All portraits taken by the ships onboard photographers are displayed on deck 6 in the Photo Gallery for guests to view and purchase. The area also sells a range of photographic equipment and features an interactive phone kiosk for guests use.

The collection of Centrum Shops on deck 6 offer an array of merchandise ranging from logo items, perfume and jewellery to liquor and cruise wear.

The Centrum on deck 4 is a seven-story atrium surrounded by bars, lounges and shops and acts as an entertainment venue with activities, parties and other events including 70’s song tributes, a 70’s disco inferno party, Finish That Lyric game show and cake decorating demonstrations.

The Centrum also plays host to the new aerial shows where the ships dancers perform on wires from the top to the bottom of the Centrum with dramatic lighting effects and visuals even incorporating the glass elevators which feature LED panels down the entire length providing a backdrop of moving images for shows such as “Seasons of Centrum”.

The new outdoor movie screen on deck 9 above the outdoor pool, installed during Grandeur’s refurbishment mid July 2012, airs first-run movies, big time sporting events and music concerts throughout the day and evening.

Adults can learn anything from scrapbook making to jewellery making, Salsa dancing and poker skills in the Explorer Academy workshops held on board Grandeur of the seas in the Centrum and South Pacific Lounge on decks 4 and 6 respectively.

Whilst Grandeur of the Seas doesn’t have a dedicated Card room, cards are available by the book corner in the Centrum on deck 4.
