The nautically themed Schooner Bar on deck 6, with a seating capacity of 133 and floor to ceiling windows running starboard side of the ship, is the ideal place to meet before dinner in one of the ships select dining rooms.

As guests walk into the bar they may detect a unique scent which originates from pitch made of pine tar mixed with oakum used to preserve rigging that was used on tall ships. The mast-like setup in the bar with its ropes and knots are treated with this pitch creating the aroma.

Serving speciality cocktails and offering a host of entertainment from scavenger hunts and Nintendo Wii to trivia competitions; music ranges from piano bar entertainment to live classical strings.

Whether guests require a quick Caffeine fix, coffee break or after-dinner cappuccino, Cafe Latte-tudes is the ideal place to drop by for complimentary cakes, pastries and cookies, people watching and specialty coffee beverages (charges apply).

Frequent visitors to Starbucks receive a coffee card offering a free coffee after purchasing six coffees.

With its iconic furnishings, guests can experience a 1960s vibe at the ’R’ cocktail bar on deck 4 seating 43 guests. Decorated in purples and gold’s, the bar is focused around the elegant Centrum which features regular spectacular high flying acts and shows to entertain guests whilst they sip on classic cocktails such as Gimlets, Old Fashions and Martini’s served by the ship’s resident mixologist.

Guests can also learn how to make their own Liquor and Cocktails with creations such as Chilli Chocolate Tequila and Bacon Bourbon in an Infusion Tasting Hour (charges apply).

The alfresco Pool Bar on deck 9 serves the pool area with refreshments throughout the day.

The Viking Crown Lounge, located high up forward of deck 11 and seating 84, offers spectacular panoramic views of the ocean by day and transforms into a lively dance club at night when from 10.30pm it becomes an adult only area with smoking permitted.

The observational lounge is a quiet zone between 1.00pm and 5.00pm allowing guests to take in the views or read a book without interruptions, with entertainment beginning in the evening featuring live music and events such as a Motown music hour.

From 12.30am until late, the ships resident DJ holds an After Hours Party for guests to dance the night away with top chart music.

Guests staying in Grand Suite-level rooms and higher, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club Crown & Anchor® Society members can enjoy access to the 32 seat Concierge Lounge on deck 11 serving complimentary continental breakfast and evening drinks. With large glass windows offering sea vistas and decorated in classic gold and reds, the room also includes two computer stations, a coffee machine serving regular or decaffeinated coffee and selection of snacks throughout the day (ranging from caviar and scallops to curry and quiche).

The Diamond Lounge (with new furnishings and carpet after Grandeur‘s fire in May 2013) on deck 6 seating 38 is for guests with Diamond, Pinnacle Club and Diamond Plus Crown & Anchor® Society membership. Created to serve loyal guests with concierge access, complimentary breakfast and evening open bar, the lounge has a self service coffee machine serving coffee Americano, one computer station and free drinks including cocktails, wine, Champagne and beer. The large floor to ceiling windows offer guests using the lounge uninterrupted sea views.

With new furnishings and carpets after Grandeur’s fire in May 2013, the light and airy South Pacific Lounge is a large (328 seat) second entertainment venue served by its own bar, stage and dance floor and offers pleasant views out over the ships wake.

Located on deck 6, activities range from Champagne Art Auctions and Ballroom Dancing to live music, sing-a-longs, Bingo, karaoke and the adult Battle of the Sexes Game Show.
