The Vitality at Sea Spa forward of deck 11 with treatment rooms on deck 12 features a full-service spa including a beauty salon and treatments including massages, manicures and seaweed body wraps.

Treatments on offer range from Microdermabrasion Oxygen Lifting Facials, La Therapie Hydralift Facials and Elemis Aromapure Facials to GoSMILE Tooth Whitening Treatment (for $199), Elemis Aroma Stone Therapy, Swedish Massages, Reflexology, Body Wraps, Cellulite Reduction and Acupuncture.

The Beauty Salon offers manicures and pedicures, trims and restyles, men’s wet cut and finish and hair styling and colouring.

The spa opens from 8.00am to 10.00pm and also includes a relaxation room (with complimentary orange juice, tea, coffee and fruit), steam room and sauna.

Examples of costs of treatments range from $169 for a facial, $195 for an aroma spa ocean wrap massage, $159 for aroma stone therapy, $300 for Botox and $150 for an acupuncture session.

The ship's fitness centre, located forward of deck 11, is open from 6.00am to 10.00pm and which offers guests a fully-equipped gym with weight machines, spinning bikes, treadmills, steppers, free weights and a sauna and steam room along with a full-size boxing ring.

The fitness centre, along with the gym equipment also has an aerobics room where guests can take part in classes ranging from Pilates and Yoga to Group Cycling and Kickboxing. Charges apply for some classes of around $12 per classes for the likes of Pilates and Yoga, whilst classes, such as the Fab Abs and stretching classes, are complimentary. Personal Training and Body Composition Analysis are also available for a charge.

The Solarium pool forward of deck 11 is specifically for guests aged 18 and older and is 4ft 11” (1.51m) deep. With shaded areas and an array of sun loungers, towering palm trees and hammocks it also features two cantilevered whirlpools that extend twelve feet beyond the sides of the ship and 112 feet above the ocean. The whirlpools’ wide panels of glass allow views from the horizon to the ocean below.

The pool is smaller than the main pool and has a small bridge and a fountain along with stools built into the side of the pool allowing guests to sit behind the fountain and enjoy a drink from the solarium bar.

The Solarium can accommodate 198 guests at a time.

Freedom of the Seas has a total of seven whirlpools on board. Two cantilevered whirlpools stretching twelve feet beyond the side of the ship out over the ocean are located either side of the Solarium pool forward of deck 11, three around the main pool and sports pool midship of deck 11 and two within the H2O kids zone on deck 11.

Due to public health regulations, children in nappies, swim nappies, pull-ups or who are not completely toilet trained are not allowed in the whirlpools.

The ship's hair and beauty salon is located in the day spa on deck 12 and offers a range of services including manicures and pedicures, trims and restyles, men’s wet cuts, hair styling and colouring.
