Vista Gallery (Art Gallery)
Vista Gallery is Disney Fantasy’s fine Art Gallery displaying a contemporary art collection featuring some of the most recognisable artists of today. Located midship of deck 4, guests can also view pieces from the silent art auction which is held on the final night of the cruise in the D Lounge (midship of deck 4).
Thousands of pieces of artwork are also hung throughout Disney Fantasy for guests to explore from concept art for classic animated films to interactive “enchanted” artwork.
The special Enchanted Art (located in high traffic areas throughout the ship) at first glance appear to be colourful paintings of favourite Disney Cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Bambi, and Alice in Wonderland. As guests approach however, the motion-sensitive works comes to life within their frames, producing around 20 seconds of animation, complete with stereo sound.
The majority of pieces of Enchanted Art feature three different animation variations, so guests may experience alternative scenes each time they pass by. Some even vary with the time of day or day of the week. The artwork is also used to solve crimes set by the Midship Detective Agency.
