Adventure Ocean Programme (Kids Club)
Royal Caribbean’s complimentary year-round Adventure Ocean Programme is available for children aged 3 (who must be fully toilet trained) to 17. It is subdivided into different age groups called Aquanauts, Explorers, Voyagers, Navigators and Teens.
All children’s activities are supervised by male or female youth staff who have a 4 year University degree or international equivalent in Education, Recreation or a related field. All staff also have at least 3 – 5 years qualified experience in working with children ages 6 months - 17 years.

Aquanauts (Kids Club)
Aquanauts caters for children aged 3-5 years with activities such as story time, face painting, theatre, finger painting, Camp Aquanaut, building blocks, music activities, space night and animal, colour and shape bingo.
Aquanauts opens as follows:
At sea – 9 am to 5 pm; 7 pm to 10 pm.
In port – 30 minutes prior to first shore excursion to 5 pm; and 7 pm to 10 pm.

Explorers (Kids Club)
Children aged 6-8 years can join Explorers where activities range from conducting science experiments to learning how to make kites and sweets, pirate night, backstage tours, Nutty Nicknames, pyjama night, carnival games, model magic creations and talent Shows.

Voyagers (Kids Club)
Voyagers provides entertainment for 9 to 11 year olds with a range of educational activities including science experiments, backstage tours and new sports like Gagaball. Other events taking place include karaoke, sports tournaments, List-o-Rama, Boys vs. Girls, Scavenger Hunts and Crazy Tag.

Adventure Beach (Kids Pool)
Located aft of deck 12 of the ship is Adventure Beach providing water activities for children. The area incorporates two pools and a two deck high spiral waterslide. Designed to represent elements of a boat, the large blue slide is accessed by stairs tucked away in the boats “funnel” and children are required to be at least 46 inches to go down the slide which exits into its own small round pool.
At the side of the blue slide are a small round pool which is 0.61m/2ft deep for little ones to splash around in and a further square pool with a little slide going into it which is 0.3m/1ft deep.
Due to health regulations, children are not allowed into any of the pools in nappies (including swim ones) and therefore must be toilet trained to make use of the pool.

Adventure Ocean (Kids Area, Teen Area)
Adventure Ocean aft of deck 12 is a spacious playroom separated into different age groups offering toys, books and games for participants in the Adventure Ocean Programme to use.
Video Arcade (Kids Area, Teen Area)
Challengers Video Arcade leads off the teen’s Optix area on deck 12 and has a variety of games to play from air hockey and grab machines to Time Crisis racing and Virtua Tennis.
Charges apply and guests require their SeaPass cards to add credit at the charging stations to play the games. A free arcade hour is usually available between 9 and 10pm.

Optix Teen Disco (Teen Area)
Optix, by Adventure Ocean on deck 12 starboard side, caters for the ships teenagers and incorporates a lounge and disco designed with them in mind. It includes TV’s, magazines, seating areas and a dance floor for teen discos.
The room also offers a wide variety of shipboard activities from scavenger hunts to pizza parties.

Teens
For children aged 12-14 years (Navigators) and 15-17 years, activities include games and sports, parties and competitions. With their own space aft of deck 12 called Optix, activities also take place in different locations throughout the ship.

Babysitting Services (for children aged over 12 months) are available on Adventure of the Seas in either a group setting or individually in stateroom on. It must be booked at least 24 hours in advance at the Guest Relations Desk.
A Royal Caribbean staff-member equipped with Fisher-Price toys and Mattel games will engage and entertain the youngsters until parents return at which point they are presented with a log of the child’s activities with the babysitter, including books read, games enjoyed, food consumed and when the child was put to bed.
Available for a minimum of two hours, the charge is $19 per hour for up to three children within the same family.

Barbie™Premium Experience
Introduced fleet wide from March 2013, the Barbie™Premium Experience is available for girls aged between four and eleven and includes a pink Barbie themed stateroom and signature gifts including a Barbie Doll to take home; Tiaras & Teacups party; Mermaid dance class; Fashion Designer workshop and a Barbie Fashion Show. The premium experience costs $349.00 and is only available on cruises over 5 nights long.
Pets at Sea
Located on deck 5 along the Royal Promenade and operational during select hours, children can make their very own cuddly toy at Pets at Sea with plush pet and outfit packages available for $32.95 and accessories and sounds also on sale.

Royal Babies and Tots® Nursery
Whilst not currently available, Royal Caribbean’s Royal Babies and Tots Nursery, with trained professionals to look after children aged 6 months to 36 months, at an hourly rate of $8 per child, is due to be added when the ship goes into dry dock, currently scheduled for April 2014.
