About Villefranche
Villefranche-sur-Mer is located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region on the French Riviera, in the south-east part of France.

Villefranche is a charming village with lots of cafes and a handful of shops. The town is very walkable but hilly so comfortable shoes are a must.

The Chapelle St-Pierre is a 14th-century Romanesque chapel, Quai Courbet is the town's atmospheric fishing port. The Citadelle, also known as Fort Sainte Elme, was built in the 16th century. Today it houses the city hall, public gardens and a couple of art museums.

Plage de Villefranche-sur-Mer beach is located north-west of old town, around 10 minutes walk away.

Boat trips, city tours and snorkelling are also available.

At the soap factory at La Savonnerie de Villefranche, you can watch and learn how soap is made, there is also a gift shop.

Nice, Cannes and Monaco are all within driving distance.
