About Victoria
Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, Canada and is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island off Canada's Pacific coast.

Victoria is very walkable and picturesque, notable sights include the Parliament Buildings, the Royal B.C. Museum, Bastion Square and the Maritime Museum of British Columbia and Beacon Hill Park.

Take afternoon tea at one of the many tea salons.

Whale watching boat tours can be taken or for something more adventurous, a snorkelling excursion.

Sports fans can hire kayaks, canoes or powerboats in the Inner Harbour or hire bikes and take The Galloping Goose Trail, an easy and scenic cycling route to Sooke.

For golf, head to Bear Mountain Resort and its two 18 hole courses.

A taxi ride away is the world famous Butchart Gardens. There is a behind-the-scenes tour that takes you to rarely visited corners of the park, including the greenhouses where the flowers and plants are grown.

West of Victoria is the coastal Sooke-Metchosin region. Here you can visit Tugwell Creek Honey Farm and Meadery near the village of Sooke and try a glass of rare, barrel aged mead, the oldest fermented beverage known to man.

Head north to the Saanich Valley and Marley Farm Winery for limited edition vintages.

Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse is a 10 acre certified-organic farm with orchard and ocean views where you can sample ciders crafted on site and tuck into a charcuterie and cheese platter.

Shopping can be found at James Bay Village, Government Street, The Bay Centre, Lower Johnson Street (sometimes referred to as Old Town) and Chinatown which bustles with open air markets, restaurants, gift stores and Canada’s narrowest street - Fan Tan Alley. Fort Street is known as Antique Row.(Note: Canada has a 5% goods and services tax paid on everything you purchase).

Fresh fish and seafood, such as oysters, prawns, cod and salmon as well as Chinese, Italian and fast food options are all available options here.
Cruise Terminal
Cruise ships dock at Ogden Point cruise terminal. The city centre is around a 15 minute walk away.

Facilities for passengers at dockside include gift shops, currency exchange and telephones.

Shuttle buses, taxis, pedicabs and sightseeing cars are readily available for passenger excursions to the city centre and major tour attractions.

Shuttle service is provided every 20 minutes to and from downtown. Stops include the cruise terminal, downtown, Steamship Terminal building and Fisherman's Wharf.

Victoria’s cruise terminal lies within easy walking distance of gardens, heritage homes, parks and attractions and there are many walking routes to your destination of your choice.
