About Seattle
Seattle is a major coastal seaport in the U.S. state of Washington. Seattle is the largest city in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.

Pike Place Market is the oldest continually operating farmer's market in the country.

The Experience Music Project is an interactive museum/exhibit/gallery which offers hands-on music creation in a state-of-the-art studio, among other things.

The Space Needle allows you to soar in seconds to the Observation Deck 520ft above the ground. There's a 360 degree view of Seattle, the mountains, Puget Sound and the islands.

Pioneer Square, Seattle's first neighbourhood, is a blend of cobblestone streets and turn-of-the-century architecture. Here you will find lots of shops, cafes, Smith Tower, built in 1914, a waterfall garden and the Klondike Gold Rush National Park.

Gas Works Park is a 20 acre playground created on the grounds of an ancient gas plant at the north end of Lake Union.

Ballard Locks allows passage from Puget Sound into Lake Washington and vice versa. There's a dam, a spillway and an underwater viewing area as well.

D.C. Volunteer Park is located high above the city and offers breathtaking views. Here you will find the Seattle Asian Art Museum, playgrounds, formal gardens and a reservoir, it's a nice place to spend some time relaxing.

Around 30 minutes away is Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, which offers free tours and tastings.

At the Museum of Flight, you can see Concorde or visit Air Force One as well as rare and restored World War I and World War II fighting aircraft.

There are many beaches to choose from including ones in the Lake Washington area (Madison Park, Madrona and Magnuson beaches) and the beaches of Puget Sound (Alki Beach Park and Golden Gardens).

Popular dishes include many with fresh fish and seafood, moose, elk and many international options such as Chinese or Italian.
Cruise Terminal
Cruise ships dock at either the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal (Pier 66) or the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal (Pier 91), depending on which cruise line you are sailing with.

Taxis are available to take passengers into town from the Smith Cove Terminal, the Bell Street Terminal is within walking distance.

Pacific Place shopping centre is around a 15 minute walk from Bell Street pier, much of it uphill and the famous Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquarium and the iconic Space Needle is also nearby.

A bus services operates along the waterfront and to downtown from Pier 66.
