Overview Of The Port Of Saint-Malo

About Saint-Malo
Saint-Malo is a walled port city in Brittany in north-western France on the English Channel.

Walk the walled city (La Ville Intra-Muros) and discover the many shops, bars and restaurants here. Breton wool sweaters, clothing, local arts and handcrafted items such as hand painted stoneware, books and Gaelic CDs make good souvenirs.

Mont St-Michel dominates the flat bay of the same name and the entire bay area is classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Other attractions include the Solidor Tower found in Saint-Servan, a 14th century building, the Cathedral of Saint-Vincent, the Aquarium Saint-Malo and the tomb of writer Chateaubriand, which is located on the Ile du Grand Be.

East of the chateau de St Malo, the long sandy Grande Plage stretches towards the district of Parame.

Seafood dishes are found in every restaurant, fish soups are a local dish, as is the dessert 'fantasie du chocolat'.
Cruise Terminal
Small cruise ships may dock in the inner harbour area. Larger vessels must anchor and tender passengers ashore.
