Portsmouth is a city in the county of Hampshire on the south coast of England, in the United Kingdom.

There are many things to see in Portsmouth. Experience 800 years of naval history at the historic Dockyard, take a trip to the top of the Spinnaker Tower, find out more about the historic landings at the D-Day Museum, go back to Tudor times at Southsea Castle or uncover the history of the Royal Marines. Children will enjoy a trip to the fair at Clarence Pier or visiting the Blue Reef Aquarium.

Head to Gunwharf Quays Factory Outlet village or Commercial Road, the home of Portsmouth's 'high street' shopping area.

Royal Garrison Church was built around 1212 as part of a hospital complex. The nave was badly damaged in a 1941 fire bomb raid but the chancel remains roofed and furnished.

Nearby beaches include Hayling Island beach in Portsmouth and West Wittering beach in Chichester.
