Nature lovers can hike the Nordmarka Forest around the Hollmenkollen area.

The famous Norwegian wool sweaters, with their blue and white patterns and troll dolls are popular souvenirs.

Local dishes include 'fenalår' (cured sheep meat), 'pinnekjøtt' (salted lamb's ribs), 'multekrem' (dessert of cloudberries and whipped cream) and Norwegian salmon.
