Newcastle is the second most populated area in New South Wales, Australia.

Newcastle city centre is surrounded by 8 beaches – Nobby, Bar and Merewether beaches being particularly popular for fishing and surfing. Off the beaches, spot whales and dolphins.

Newcastle Ocean Baths offer a stunning Art Deco façade whilst the Merewether Baths is the largest bath complex in the Southern Hemisphere.

For a history of the city, tour Fort Scratchley, overlooking Nobby’s beach and lighthouse.

Other places of interest include the nearby Christ Church Cathedral, castle with beautiful grounds and architecture and Bogey Hole, which tells of Newcastle’s convict past.
