Itajai

Itajai is a city in the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil, South America.

The main draw of the area is the beautiful beaches, Brava, Cabecudas and Atalaia to name a few. There are many activities on offer such as surfing, snorkelling and swimming.

A few miles from the port area, the Itajia Shopping Centre is the centre of leisure and entertainment here. There are over 80 boutiques, shops and restaurants.

The Museu Historico of Itajia houses relics and artefacts on early town history.

Other attractions include Itajai Cathedral and the city’s nautical park, which offers a deep sea fishing adventure and exploration of the aquatic life.

Local restaurant serve a range of food including local dishes, fresh fish and seafood and popular international items such as pasta, pizza and even good old British pub grub!

Most ships are able to dock at the berth near the town centre’s main street.

There is a long touristy type shopping district near the dock area.

Taxis and local buses are available close by.
