Overview Of The Port Of Honningsvaag

About Honningsvaag
Honningsvaag is the northernmost city on the mainland of Norway, located in Nordkapp Municipality in Finnmark county.

The church is the oldest building, dating back to 1885.

The small, quaint Nordkappmuseet (North Cape Museum) is located at the port.

Most visitors head to North Cape, Europe's most northerly point. On a clear day, you can view it from your ship as you pass through the Barents Sea. North Cape rises 308m above the sea and has always been an important point for orientation for sailors.

Attractions here include a number of exhibitions in the North Cape Hall, several restaurants, a gift shop, St Johannes Chapel, the Thai Museum and the most northerly post office in the world. King Oscar’s monument is a Memorial stone to mark the union of King Oscar II and Norway. The Children of the World monument was created in 1989 to symbolise cooperation, friendship, hope and happiness.

For something a bit different in Honningsvaag, go on a King Crab Safari by bus or deep sea rafting. Learn about their life and how to cook them.

Fresh fish and seafood are the speciality here.
Cruise Terminal
Cruise ships dock in the centre of town, the piers are all within walking distance of shops, restaurants and local attractions. If the port is particularly busy, ships may anchor and tender passengers ashore.
