Overview Of The Port Of Helsingborg

About Helsingborg
Helsingborg is a town in Skåne County, Sweden, Scandinavia. It is Sweden's closest point to Denmark.

Just north of Helsingborg is Sofiero Palace and gardens. Until the 1970s, it was a summer residence for Swedish royalty.

The Fredriksdal Open-Air Museum and Botanical Garden, the medieval Kärnan castle tower and the Church of St Mary (Mariakyrkan), one of the oldest buildings in Helsingborg are other places of interest.

Take the short ferry ride over to Helsingor in Denmark to see the famous Kronborg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and setting of William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Helsingborg has a good variety of shops selling everything from leather items, amber and silver, to Danish porcelain.

Väla Centrum is one of the largest shopping centres in Scandinavia. It is located around 6km from the centre of town.

Traditional Swedish and Scandinavian dishes are available in the many restaurants here, along with a wide range of International cuisine.
Cruise Terminal
