About Hellesylt
Hellesylt is a small village in the municipality of Stranda in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village lies at the head of the Sunnylvsfjord.

Hellesylt is on the UNESCO World Heritage List because of the wild and beautiful mix of it's fjords, rivers and mountains.

Hellesylt is a small village and is sometimes the starting point for tours to nearby Geiranger, famous for its fjord - the Geiranger Fjord.

Hellesylt waterfall is in the centre of the village, between two bridges. It is an impressive sight in the early summer during the snow thaw period.

A walk up to the Svarthammeren gives stunning views of the fjord and mountains all the way to the entrance of the neighbouring Geiranger Fjord. The longer walk takes you through pine forests, all the time with a view to the underlying fjord and surrounding mountains.

The Kjellstaddalen and Moldskreddalen Valleys are popular with hikers and bike riders.

Beautifully restored old farmhouses are scattered around the hills and mountains, hike up for extraordinary views of the surrounding area.

For sports fans, rafting and kayaking are available.

Salmon, trout and cod are all popular dishes in the area.
