About George Town
George Town is in Grand Cayman, which is the largest of the Cayman Islands, situated about 100 miles south of Cuba, in the Western Caribbean.

Popular excursions include Stingray City, Cayman Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery.

George Town has numerous shops featuring handcrafted jewellery, antiques, salvaged coins and old maps. Cardinal Avenue is the main shopping street whilst other choices include Kirk Freeport, The Jewelry Centre and the Galleria Plaza on West Bay Road. Popular buys include jewellery, watches and rum cake.

Seven Mile Beach on the west coast, is considered one of best beaches.

Local dishes range from curried goat and braised oxtail to many conch based dishes.
Cruise Terminal
At present, all ships required to anchor in the harbour and tender passengers onto the island. There are two docks in George Town (North and South), both are located right in town. It is an easy walk to the local shops and restaurants.
