About Fowey
Fowey is a small town at the mouth of the River Fowey in south Cornwall, England, in the United Kingdom.

Shopping opportunities range from clothing and jewellery to crafts and tasty Cornish products.

Fowey has many medieval fortifications and religious structures including Old House of Foye, a medieval merchants’ house (currently a shop), Restormel Castle, St Catherine's Castle - a fortification built by Henry VIII to defend the harbour, St Finbarrus Church and Place House, a medieval tower.

The Daphne du Maurier Literary Centre holds information about all of Fowey’s famous authors.

The Eden Project, a 3 dome complex that showcases over 100 plant species from different climates, is located around 7 miles from Fowey.

Visitors can also stroll on Fowey Esplanade or visit the sandy beach of Readymoney Cove.

Traditional Cornish food includes Cornish pasties (filled with beef steak, onion, potato and swede), Squab pie (mutton and apple), Saffron cake and whortleberry pie.
