About Dunmore East
Dunmore East is a fishing village in County Waterford, Ireland. It is situated on the west side of Waterford Harbour on Ireland's south-eastern coast.

Dunmore East Adventure Centre offer many activities including archery, windsurfing, orienteering, kayaking, sailing, pedal boats and powerboating.

Dunmore East Golf Club is an 18 hole seaside course on the coast overlooking the village. It has breathtaking views of the village, bay, the Hook Peninsula and Waterford Harbour.

The Medieval Museum explores the period from the Anglo-Norman siege of Waterford in 1170 to the end of the 17th century.

Within the village of Dunmore East, there are several beautiful secluded coves including Stony Cove, Ladies Cove and Badgers Cove.

Many visitors head to Waterford, home of Waterford Crystal, the world-famous hand-crafted, cut glass. The Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre is home to the largest collection of Waterford Crystal in the world and the guided tours offer access to all areas of traditional crystal production.

Waterford Museum of Treasures comprises 3 museums chronicling over 1,000 years of history. The Bishop’s Palace, charts the history of Waterford from 1700 to 1970. Just beside the Bishop's Place is Waterford Cathedral, built in 1793 and is Ireland’s oldest Catholic Cathedral.

The elegant Chamber of Commerce building, Christ Church Cathedral and the City Hall are examples of beautiful 18th century architecture.

Further afield, Kilkenny Castle and Gardens is the dominant feature of Ireland's Medieval Capital.

Soups of all types, seafood and meats play important roles in the Irish diet. A typical Irish dinner consists of potatoes (cooked whole), cabbage, and meat. Irish stew has been recognised as the national dish for at least two centuries.

Fresh soda bread, a crusty brown bread made from whole wheat flour and buttermilk, is a national dish of Ireland.
