Overview Of The Port Of Dubrovnik

About Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is a city in Croatia, located on the Adriatic Sea.

The old walled city of Dubrovnik is easy to explore on foot, the Placa is the main pedestrian boulevard and no cars are allowed. It is possible to 'walk the wall' (access just inside the Pile Gate). Views are breathtaking, but note there is steep climbing and numerous stairs to negotiate.

Highlights include 14th Century Franciscan Monastery, the Rector's Palace, the Synagogue, Europe's second oldest Sephardic synagogue and the Fort of St. John Maritime Museum and Aquarium.

There are various beaches nearby, ranging from small and private to pebbled and sandy.

Lace and embroidery are popular buys as is crochet doilies and artwork.

Local menus may feature many seafood dishes, stews and goulash.
Cruise Terminal
Ships dock at the Gruz Harbour. There is a few tourist shops here and taxis are available. The bus stop is outside the pier gates. Shuttles may be provided by the cruise lines to take passengers into Pile Square, a few metres from the old walled city.

Occasionally, smaller ships may tender in the Old Harbour.
