Overview Of The Port Of Ceuta

About Ceuta
Ceuta is a city in Spain and an exclave located on the north coast of Africa, sharing a western border with Morocco. Separated from the Iberian peninsula by the Strait of Gibraltar, Ceuta lies on the border of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

Murallas Reales (Royal Walls) and El Desnarigado are two historic forts of Ceuta. Murallas Reales dates back to the 16th century and has several parapets, moats, groynes and galleries.

The Parque MarĂtimo del MediterrĂ¡neo is a leisure complex. It has three artificial salt water lakes, suitable for swimming during the summer months. The park also has gardens, ornamental waterfalls, sunbathing areas, bars, restaurants, pubs, a casino, and a nightclub.

Two Cathedrals can be found at Plaza de Africa - Cathedral of the Ascension and Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. de Africa (Our Lady of Africa Church).

Parque Ceuta shopping centre is located at Avenida Teniente General Muslera. As no tax is levied, jewellery, alcohol, perfume and leather goods are good buys.

Ceuta's dishes are based on the Mediterranean cuisine, modified over time and incorporating local products, notably fresh seafood. There are lots of other choices available including Arab/Italian/ Chinese and Mexican.
