Overview Of The Port Of Casablanca

About Casablanca
Casablanca is a city in western Morocco, located on the Atlantic Ocean.

King Hassan II Mosque is popular for its interior design and its roofs which allow a view of the sky.

Take a Turkish bath or visit The Notre Dame de Lourdes cathedral.

Marrakesh is a day long excursion from here.

La Corniche Beach (both private and public) is popular for swimming, volleyball or football.

Casablanca has lots of shops and stalls lining the streets, the best deals require good bargaining skills. Quartier Habous is a shopping area selling carpets and metal wares. The Exposition Nationale d’Artisanat sells quality leather goods, embroidered clothing and handmade jewellery.
Local dishes include cous cous, 'pastilla' (meat pie), 'tajine' (meat or fish stew) and 'harira' (soup).
Cruise Terminal
Ships dock at the port around 1km from the centre of town, which is walkable but it is through an industrial area so a taxi or shuttle bus may be the better option. (Note: not all cruise lines offer the option of using the shuttle buses).
