About Bandar Seri Begawan
Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital and largest city of Brunei, a sovereign state located on the north coast of the island of Borneo, in southeast Asia.

Attractions include Malay Technology Museum, Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Brunei Museum and the Royal Regalia Museum. Note: ladies need to be covered and no shorts for men when visiting the mosques.

Take a city tour, visit Kampong Ayer (the water village) or explore the nearby Ulu Temburong National Park.

Beaches lie to the north of Bandar Seri Begawan or Muara beach is 2km from the cruise terminal.

Note: alcohol is banned in Brunei.

Cuisine is similar to, and influenced by, the cuisine of neighbouring Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Fish and rice are staple foods. Due to the predominance of the Islamic religion, the food is halal and pork is avoided.

The cruise terminal is around 25km from Bandar Seri Begawan. Most cruise ships offer transfers for a fee. There is a local bus to take you there outside the port area. Facilities at the terminal include toilets, a restaurant and shop.
